Although I could only eat the first two plates, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Being white and from Canada, I can't really attest to how "authentic" the taste is, but my boyfriend and his cousin, who are both from northern China, frequent this place, with positive reviews.
We've often gone after a late night movie for a midnight snack. It's a popular place amongst Chinese-Scarberians.
There are a couple things to be wary of, though:
1. The staff speak Mandarin and may not be fluent in English
2. The Sichuan pepper is known as being numbing, not spicy. So if you can't feel your tongue, don't worry; it's normal.
3. Most of the dishes are numbing and spciy.
It's a clean and stylish restaurant, with reasonable prices. We ordered these four dishes, green tea, and a small pint of beer for under $45.
Because they make my kryptonite at Szechuan Legend, I'm going to have to give a generous ****/****.
